1. The Lightning Seeds are actually a single seed, Ian Broudie, who sprouted from the same scene in Liverpool, England, as Echo & the Bunnymen and Icicle Works. Cloudcuckooland contains distant hints of Echo, especially in the guitar track on "Pure." But this album is much more liquid than anything the Bunnymen ever created/5(41).

5. An album that will please everyone from the 1 year old to the is a very difficult thing indeed. Here is a collection of brilliant songs, well produced, recorded and executed. The only downside is the poor slevenotes (no listing of which album each song is from). Even if you have every album, get this one too. It's a great party pleaser/5(13).
